Since their formation at Glastonbury Festival 2002, the ever-evolving collective Moulettes have forged an uncommon course, led by Cellist & Songwriter, Hannah Moule.
From the avant-folk of their early albums to the cinematic chamber pop of 2014 album ‘Constellations’ & the big riffs of sonic chameleon ‘Preternatural’, this is a band who put creativity at the heart of everything they do.
Moulettes have had support from many different quarters, garnering praise & appreciation in the parallel worlds of Folk, Prog and Indie. As champions of detailed, original music & sharp songwriting, they have earned their accolades. As they reinvent and reimagine themselves at every stage with a revolving cast of exceptional musicians, Moulettes music is always distinctively recognizable.
Causing a sensation on their coast-to-coast Festival tour of Canada, they were an instant hit on the Quebec Progressive scene, most memorably playing an electrifying outdoor show at the Montreal Jazz Festival, and were named “the best thing at Winnipeg Folk Festival” by CBC’s Tom Power.
Following up on their October 2024 tour across Nova Scotia, Quebec & Ontario, Moulettes return to launch their newest creation; ‘Xenolalia’, A multimedia artbook & a groundbreaking experiment in collaboration & composition. It takes the reader on a journey through the Moultiverse, linking to 55 pieces of music via QR code, alongside lyrics, interviews & stories that illuminate the songs contained within.
Moulettes offer something entirely unique & musically kaleidoscopic - Cello, Viola, Violin, Percussion, Synthesizers & 5-part harmony vocals in playfully eclectic symbiosis. Often performing ‘in the round’ where possible, audiences tangibly feel their instinctive communication with each other & the sheer joy of playing as an ensemble.

The popular and multi-award-winning quintet Goitse was forged in the white-hot creative crucible of Limerick’s Irish World Academy. Named Live Ireland’s “Traditional Group of the Year”, Chicago Irish American News’ “Group of the Year”, as well as winning the prestigious “Freiburger International Leiter 2016” award in Germany, Goitse have become a leader of the new generation of traditional Irish ensembles.
Goitse has released six critically acclaimed recordings and maintains a year round touring schedule that includes performances throughout Ireland, UK, Germany, France and the United States. Their distinctive sound lies in the quality of their own compositions interspersed with age-old traditional tunes which make each performance unique. Laying the foundations for the music are World and AllIreland Bodhrán champion Colm Phelan and Conal O’Kane, who is fast making a name for himself as one of the finest guitarists of his generation. The gripping rhythm section sets a powerful drive for the music while the sweet, charismatic voice of Áine Mc Geeney draws audiences into a song the way few performers can. Multi instrumentalist Alan Reid features mainly on banjo and bouzouki, drawing from an extensive knowledge of archival collections of Irish which enriches the bands repertoire. Daniel Collins is a multi instrumentalist All Ireland Champion, and is known for his distinctively intricate bass work on accordion.
Together, the quintet Goitse makes what Irish Music Magazine calls “Music that’s brimming with energy and creative zeal.”
*Goitse is a Gaelic word for ‘come here’ is pronounced - Go-wit-cha

Lucy has been performing with the Barra MacNeils for 37 years. They come from a long tradition of Cape Breton music and dance that has been the foundation of creative pursuits over their musical career. Alongside her brothers she has travelled to Europe, Scotland, England, Wales,Ireland, the United States, Barbados, throughout Canada from Fogo Island, Nfld. To Iqualuit and a northern Quebec community, Puvirnituq.
The Barras recorded their first self titled album in 1986 and have continued making music, touring and recording throughout the years. During the 1990’s they were signed with record label Poly Dor and Opened for Celine Dion, Kenny Rogers and were special guests on two of Rita MacNeils’ Christmas specials.
The Barras made several appearances on Rita MacNeil’s CBC variety show from 94-97. In 2005 were guests on Rita’s beloved National Christmas tour in Canada. After separating ways with their label years later they continued on with recording and touring. Their lastest album is “On the Bright Side” recorded in 2017.
In 2015 Lucy was one of the artists in residence for the “Celtic Colours International Music Festival”. Here she was paired with Liz Doherty from Buncrana, Ireland to help select musicians and musical selections together for performances during the festival. It was a wonderful experience for both Lucy and the audiences who came to Celtic Colours and those that watched the online streaming shows.
In 2014 and 2017 Lucy was a special guest with Symphony Nova Scotia for their Rita MacNeil tribute concert. Here she performed with conductor Scott MacMillan, Symphony Nova Scotia and The Men of the Deeps.
During the pandemic which was a very quiet time for many Lucy started working on a solo album. Something she had wanted to do but the time never presented itself. She also felt in these uncertain times watching a world that was going through immense change and upheaval she wanted to leave something behind of herself and her lifetime attachment to traditional music and song.

Wham bam thank you ma’am - ladies and gentlemen that was David Bowie and oh we miss him. Luckily he left behind some of the most defining work of the 20th century and we’re going to pay Ziggy Stardust the ultimate respect and perform it note for note - cut for cut. Looking back and clips of Bowie during this time you see a man in complete control rewiring what you thought was entertainment. David’s arrangements coupled with his technicolour lyrics, denote genius - a man on his own path taking on the world and the only way for him to do this was via mars. David Bowie is the one historical figure that i’d like to have dinner with, we’d start with tea, then perhaps some brandy and i’d ask him - who does your makeup?
